Strength List Guide

Discover and analyze top-performing stocks using multiple data sources

Overview

The Strength List page is your central hub for discovering strong-performing stocks. It combines multiple data sources into a single, easy-to-use interface with interactive TradingView charts.

Instead of overwhelming you with all data at once, the page uses a source selector that lets you choose which type of stocks to view. This keeps the interface clean and focused.

Understanding ETF Rankings

When you select "Sector ETFs" as your source, you'll see ETFs ranked by a momentum composite score. This uses the same formula as our sub-industry rankings:

Composite Score = (0.35 × 1-day%) + (0.35 × 1-week%) + (0.2 × 2-week%) + (0.1 × 1-month%)

This formula emphasizes recent momentum while considering longer-term trends. Higher scores indicate stronger momentum.

Cap-Weighted ETFs

Standard sector ETFs (XLK, XLF, XLV, etc.) where larger companies have more weight. These are the most liquid and commonly traded sector ETFs.

Equal-Weight ETFs

RSP family ETFs where each company has equal weight. These can provide better diversification and may outperform cap-weighted ETFs in certain market conditions.

Twitter Sentiment Integration

The Stocks Chart page now displays Twitter stock recommendations alongside technical data, helping you identify stocks with both strong fundamentals and social buzz.

Understanding Twitter Badges

Each stock card shows a Twitter badge with format "X rec · Y↑/Z↓" indicating total recommendations and sentiment breakdown from the last 30 days.

  • Green: Bullish sentiment dominates
  • Red: Bearish sentiment dominates
  • Gray: Neutral or balanced sentiment
Using Twitter + Technical Signals

Combine Twitter sentiment with technical indicators for higher conviction trades:

  • Look for stocks with strong technicals AND bullish Twitter sentiment
  • Use Twitter bearish sentiment as a warning sign despite good technicals
  • Prioritize stocks with multiple Twitter recommendations (higher rec count)
Pro Tip: Stocks appearing in both "Best Sub-Industry" AND showing bullish Twitter badges often represent the highest conviction opportunities with institutional and social confirmation.

Tips & Best Practices

Start with Best Sub-Industry

The "Best Sub-Industry" source provides institutional-grade picks based on VIX signals. These are typically the highest-conviction opportunities.

Use ETFs for Sector Exposure

If you want broad sector exposure rather than individual stocks, use the ETF rankings. Compare cap-weighted vs equal-weight performance.

Combine Multiple Sources

Switch between sources to find stocks that appear in multiple lists - these often represent the strongest opportunities.

Build a Focused Watchlist

Add your top picks to the watchlist for easy tracking. Keep it focused (10-20 stocks) for better management.
